International Race Judge Training Seminar Oct. 23-24, 2019

International Federation Of Sleddog Sports is sponsoring an International Race Judge Training Seminar

Arnprior, ON & Bristol, QC, Canada
October 22, 23 and 24, 2019

No cost for the seminar. Registration closes: October 1st, 2019.

Participants are responsible for accommodations and food.

  • Oct 22nd 9:00 am to 5 pm – Classroom
  • Oct 23rd, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm -Classroom
  • Oct 24th, 9:00 am Wrap Up and Examination
    2:00 pm to 5:00 pm – Bristol Race Site

 

Completion of this license requires you to intern under the guidance of an IFSS Race Official for two races. The option of judging at the Canadian National Championships in Bristol, Quebec is available on Oct 25th, 26th and 27th, 2019.

Theory includes

  • Selecting Race Sites, Materials and Infrastructure, Time Keeping, Pre-Race Administration, Job Descriptions, Judges and Jury, Rule Enforcement Officials, Officials Prime Responsibilities, Penal Measure and Protest, Difficult Rules, Appeals Jury, Animal Welfare, Race Judge Report and Final Examination.

Practical includes:

  • Race Site Preparation and Inspection, Race Schedules, Starting Line Procedures, Finish Line Procedures and Dog Yard Set-up.

Presented By: Jim Cunningham, IFSS Race Marshal and Instructor.
