Skijoring at Arrowhead Provincial Park

Looking for a fun-filled, family activity with your four-legged friend? If you are, come out to Arrowhead Provincial Park this winter and give Skijoring a try.

Skijoring is cross-country skiing with a dog. Skiers provide power with skis & poles while a dog provides additional power by pulling ahead. It’s a blast! This winter, The SportLab will be hosting four Skijoring Events at Arrowhead:

Sunday, January 7th
Sunday, February 4th
Sunday, February 11th
Sunday, March 11th
Time: 1 to 4 pm
Location: Arrowhead Provincial Park,
Birches Parking Lot

Raven’s Watch will be loaning out the necessary harness equipment for both skiers and dogs.  If you find you & your dog enjoy skijoring, Raven’s Watch will also have gear available for purchase.

Skijoring is FREE with your Park Permit and Ski Pass!

Don’t have a dog? No problem! You can reserve on of The SportLab’s furry friends to try the sport out. Ski Rentals are available at the Park.

To ensure everyone has a great experience, registration for these Skijoring Events is required.

Come out and give this exciting winter sport a try. You won’t regret it!
