Directions:
The address for the training run weekend at the Bathe's is 1423/1425 Francis Rd. Minden, ON K0M 2K0. As you know, it's a shared driveway for the Bathes' 2 houses right at the end of Francis Rd.
Directions:
...for anyone getting to Minden via Hwy. 35...from Hwy. 35 turn East onto South Lake Rd. at the second set of stoplights
(there are 3 sets of lights on the highway bypass in Minden so it's the 2nd set whether coming from
the North or the South). Follow South Lake Rd. all the way to the end and turn South (right)onto the Gelert Rd (Haliburton County Rd. 1). At Gelert turn left onto Sedgwick Rd, then right onto Francis Rd and follow all the way to the end.
...for anyone coming through Haliburton...there are only 2 sets of lights, the main intersection in Haliburton at the junction of Hwy 118 (Maple st.)
and Hwy. 121 (Highland St.) follow 121 (Highland St.) through town and at the next set of lights turn left onto the Gelert Rd. (Haliburton County Rd. 1)
Follow the Gelert Rd. South for about 15-20 minutes, then at Gelert turn left onto Sedgwick Rd, then right onto Francis Rd and follow all the way to the end.
...for anyone coming from the SouthEast (Peterborough area)...directions are a bit more complicated, but the shortest route is Hwy.7>EmilyParkRd>Bobcaygeon>Kinmount>Gelert...exact driving directions are...Hwy. 7 West
to Emily Park Rd. North (right) onto Emily Park Rd. Just past the Emily
Provincial Park turn left (#14, Peace Rd. I think?), and minute or two
later, just past a gas station/marina turn right onto #10. Follow all the
way up to where #10 ends and turn right onto #17. Follow to where #17 ends
at Hwy. 36 and turn right (again! sounds like lots of rights but the roads
wind, you are not being sent in a big circle...promise!). You are now just
South of Bobcaygeon. Continue on up through Bobcaygeon and at the 4-way
stop go straight through and you will now be on County Rd. 49. Follow to
where 49 ends at Hwy 121 and turn right. 121 to Kinmount, stay on 121
through Kinmount then turn right onto the Gelert Rd. (Haliburton County
Rd. 1). At Gelert turn right onto Sedgwick Rd. then right onto Francis Rd
and follow all the way to the end.
